I try to save at least 10k-15k a month and yeah that sounds pretty close. I've been saving this way for about 4 years. I don't always make 250k. Sometimes I make 300k+ plus and sometimes its been as low as 220-240k so that's the average. It's important to deduct everything you can on your taxes to make your income lower on paper.

If this is a data mine I don't care anymore

I'm 26 years old with a BSEE working in the field. My income totals about $86,000/year. Since I graduate on a full ride I've been able to accumulate a net worth just shy of $300,000 which consists of stocks, bonds, cash, no crypto at any point ever. I purchased I lightly used car for cash but do not want the trouble of home ownership.

I despise women. I spent an entire adolescence and early adulthood ridiculed by them. I don't like talking to them or being around them. I now realize that I will never marry or have children. There is no shortage of poor, disgusting slampigs that would just love to use me like an ATM.

If I didn't know all of the IT jobs were worth their weight in gold, were massively oversubscribed, and didn't want to get raped by the muslim hordes down in london, I might've considered pursueing IT in my youth, I'm blessed to have an uncle that has the most insane brain I've ever known and is able to give me very good advice and something he told me will stick with me forever "listen to the arguments and make up your mind for yourself " then he proceeded to tell me that even with certificates in security he couldn't land a job in IT and advised me it wouldn't be feesable unless I moved down to london after finishing my degree I would need to finish in the top 5% in to be even considered for a job nowadays.

It's a tough slog to make it to the top anon I have to admit I am a little envious of you making it in a tough field, but I'm also proud you didn't fall for the Bitcoin scam and actually made wise investments. my income is not typical, as there are people 20 years my elder making half of what i do in the same department. i was just able successfully work the corporate ladder.

i know little of the worth of certificates, but in terms of security -- i approached our chief security officer with a 30 page presentation describing how i obtained administrator access on all computers on the network by reverse engineering the encryption implementation on the company's software installation manager. something the red team missed. it's shit like that has helped me advance.

yeah disability.
> i.e. you won't end up on the street?
no actually i will. the brit conservative government definition of "disabled", pretty much means dead. e.g. if you shit and piss yourself twenty times a day that's not a disability, but if you literally can't wipe your own ass afterwards, then it's a disability.
>Do you have insurance?
nah i'm on a cliff edge. when my income is cut by the tories, i'll sell the house and move to a 3rd world country. probably less of a shithole than england anyway.
not exaggerating btw. you need 8 points to qualify for disability:

Managing toilet needs or incontinence.
a. Can manage toilet needs or incontinence unaided. 0 points.
b. Needs to use an aid or appliance to be able to manage toilet needs or incontinence. 2 points.
c. Needs supervision or prompting to be able to manage toilet needs. 2 points.
d. Needs assistance to be able to manage toilet needs. 4 points.
e. Needs assistance to be able to manage incontinence of either bladder or bowel. 6 points.
f. Needs assistance to be able to manage incontinence of both bladder and bowel. 8 points.

so watch out for the millions of mutants about to hit the workplace, and lock up your possessions because the country is now filled with desperate thieves.

FRIENDLY REMINDER: Conscious thought is your best friend and the key to life. Conscious self-control. You are responsible for your feelings, your mental health, your physical health, and your life outcomes.

Sit down and literally write down in words what you want to experience on a daily basis and long term basis, then start consciously doing that. It's really that banal, and yet simple and liberating.

No more negativity, bitchiness, and resentment. Most of you (us) are laughably spoiled. None of you could ever build a computer from scratch, or a machine, or anything useful. You're here for free on borrowed time from the Universe. You are laughably spoiled and fortunate.

Practice Gratitude.

Then congratulations! I encourage everyone to pursue their full potential, knowing clearly that it is like "perfection" and has value as a goal even though it is unattainable. My point is just that our lives are actually fucking amazing (for the most part, with exceptions) compared to the vast majority of all living being in the history of earth.

Gratitude is not "hippie" or "christfag", either. It is a very positive feeling that is healthy and pro-social. I am extremely grateful I'm an American, even with all the problems, it's fucking amazing and I can't believe how lucky I am.
