Why don't more people just invest in well known ever-worsening problems like diabetes and the obesity epidemic?

Lots of people are going to die regardless. But isn't it a pretty surefire bet that putting money into insulin supplies will pay off? I can't imagine anyone's going to cure obesity within the next few decades, so the population needing insulin is only going to increase like crazy and supplies are already getting scarce.
