Point of going multi layer is to keep the root chain as decentralized as possible, so if you're discriminated against, you can mine your own transaction.
The big block strategy would likely end up under the control of shysters like Bezos, since you'd need a super computer to mine it.
Hopefully Lightning or Prasma actually works. Can't say they will for sure. But if I'm gonna gamble (and we are gambling) I'd bet on a specialized division of labor over generalization.
