This is the sad reality behind a lot of crypto "development". Look how many projects are actually trying to build out the space and improve decentralised infrastructure and make the whole thing work better.
Then look at the two project types that just see a honeypot and are trying to milk wealth out of it: Stablecoins and exchanges.
The fact that we have seen such a massive explosion of institutional interest and investment in those two fields, which don't add much fundamental value to decentralisation and simply join an already crowded market, is a sign of how little interest much of industry has in the core tenets of decentralisation.
Which is no surprise, considering a utopian vision of decentralisation massively undercuts most of their raison d'etre anyway.
