It's now possible to lay money down on whether or not Bitfinex is insolvent. Some think another Goxing is coming. Others think this is all overblown bs. While it's possible to short Tether on Kraken, the fees are insane - this seems to be the only place you can make a safe and cheap bet on Tether's price:
