What was the worst trading decision you've ever made?

I went almost allin on IOST after I made a few very profitable trades with it and then it completely crashed on me. Lost 80% of everything.

I just don't fucking get it. Bitcoin is something simple and I understand the value. Ethereum has a nice idea but is fraught with so many technical boondoggles that it's hard to get fully on board. Monero I get because the privacy is a useful feature.

But everything else? You're either dealing with shitty corporate coins with Ripple/Stellar or endless "platforms" and smart contract bullshit like EOS or Cardano or whatever the fuck you want to call it, which just try to improve on things by rearranging Ethereum a bit and hoping for the best.

Then there's just everything else that doesn't even have a hope of being useful for anything.

Why fuck with it at all?
