Literally the only thing it does is payment, what a new and ground breaking technology in the crypto space, LOL. The reason why its faster than most is because it does not need the approval of independent ledgers because its centralized and Ripple overlooks the transactions. You can literally have just normal database for this but they need to sell their coin to the public so adding "muh brokchain" worked well and raised billions for them

Payments are by far the most important use case. XRP also has a built in DEX.

Wrong. Every node independently validates transactions and builds each new ledger on their own. Ripple doesn't tell any node whether a transaction is valid or not.
