Making like 150-300$ in first few weeks, then you wait 3 months for new server, as bots killng prices.

Uh... grammarly man. Grammarly. Also use HemingWay App.
And language skills don't matter if your writing brings in money. Always do revenue share deals (10% is generally considered standard).

Why don't y'all try Leapforce // Lionbridge // Appen?

I'm working for Appen under one of their projects involving a major social media platform, and it pays $10/hr (the lowest I've heard of their projects paying), and I can work anywhere from 0-5 hours a day, seven days a week, whenever I feel like it, from my laptop.

They're shit and pay shit. I've tried working with them, but apparently my rates are unreasonable, despite only charging standard industry rates.

You can make more money if you read tarot cards online. No joke, all you need to do is set your rates to $1/min and make people curious enough to pay you.

I don't know hip hop as well but I'm fluent in DIY underground music. I'd try to find a local rap scene and start going to shows and get to know people/make friends. Start offering to make beats for people starting out and maybe consider performing as a party dj or something to get some recognition. Make social media pages to promote yourself and host your music. It's all about small step to get you noticed and to get people to recognize the skill and value you have to offer to them.

Making money at art isn't for the faint of heart. do not advise.

Starting out. You have a degree of skill at drawing good form. Though lots of flaws. You appeal to the audience by finding your niche and at making it sexy. You would be making below minimum wage or supplemental income. You gotta eat shit and find work from wherever you can. Your customers are entitled. You do not want to be at this stage. Time to grind and gitgud.

Mid-tier. This is usually the level of most hentai artists you see. You are as good as the average professional comic and manga artist. You can draw a sexy girl with few errors. At this stage you are in the top 5-15% of the world at drawing. You can start whoring yourself on social media. This is your world. fanart/retweets/tutorials. You're making between minimum wage and decent $$$. Most people never leave this stage. You will do okay with prints and getting commissions. You won't find success on patreon.

High-tier. Straight up you're good at drawing. You are in the top 1-5% of the world and among the top artists in the industry. You can charge what you like up to a point. You probably aren't even drawing smut anymore. You do very well just making portraits of sexy girls. There is a demand for people to visit you at conventions. Other phenom artists follow you and like your work. You can charge a good price on commissions. You would do well on patreon.

Phenom-tier. You are in the top 1% of earners in the artworld. You are in the top 1-2% of the best artists at drawing. You're easily earning as much, if not more than a surgeon. 500k+/yr And you are in someone's top 10 favorite artists. You have the power to influence the art world. Then you can probably set up a patreon strategy. I believe Sakimichan is the highest paid smut artist on patreon. She's earning easily over $2 million a year from her Patreon reward tiers. Patreon hides what people make now, but she's got to be earning way more than $3m+ a year.

Web dev here. Im currently working on a project which is essentially a map-based social media platform, pic related.

I always have this issue when it comes to working on personal projects, I always get super excited and obsessed when I start out, then it quickly tapers off and I lose interest.

I’m trying to pick things back up but got bored doing the essential stuff (backend and architecture shit). Also I’m not sure if the platform should be general or targeted to a specific audience. I was thinking to keep in general so that users can post random shit, geotag events/news and also act as a market place so people can find products and services in their area. You can source everything through tayda if you want the cheap and easy approach. Everything comes quickly but some parts (like potentiometers) are very hit and miss.

Pedalpartsplus do drilled enclosures and sell switches, knobs, pots and jacks etc. I cannot recommend them enough.
Smallbearelec have been good to me, as has bitsbox in the UK.

I see ridiculous numbers being thrown around for copywriting. Is it hard to get into? Because my writing is far above average and I can wax poetic when necessary. I read every single day and my vocabulary is huge. I've looked into it but it basically seems like the only two requirements are:

1. Be decent at writing
2. Have some knowledge of marketing and common sense

Is it this easy?

Upload your beats on youtube. Put an audio water mark in them every 30 seconds or so. Get a website and let people buy the full beats. There's dudes doing it on youtube already. You could try to take requests. Differentiate yourself. Make those lofi hiphop beats on the same channel to drive in traffic. Everyone likes them and they're good to relax to. Just slap on an anime pic. Sell them on spotify and other streaming services too. Post some samples so we can see if you're any good. If you are and you can make good stuff consistently, the biggest challenge is probably marketing.

Nope. Your ability to write literally doesn't matter. Your ability to sell, to read people, to find their deepest secrets and entice them to act on them... THAT's what sells.

>I want to do direct response copy since I don't have the time nor the inclination to write long articles or ebooks.

Good joke.
You'll spend two months meticulously bleeding over 15-30 pages of text, then it'll BOMB, and you'll find yourself in need of more work.
A bit more seriously, start small - write some facebook ads, some emails, write some general advertorials.
The barrier to entry isn't that high, aside from having to do a lot more legwork to find clients when starting out.

Yeah I'm certain I have it, explains a lot for me. Don't want medication either though, you can lose your creativity and at this point I feel like a lot of my personality (which I like) I've gained through living with ADHD.

There's also enough self-help shit online, and some of it's actually decent. I cant remember where but I've read good stuff, those links were always gunna be hit and miss cos I just picked off a very quick google search and only skim read them.

There's been some stuff that's helped me with my personal projects lately, but it's unrelated to this because it's not about gaining focus, more of a general insight into working on personal projects/being entrepreneurial.

Might get laughed at for this but its legit the last 2 episodes of HydeWars, if you don't find Sam Hyde funny then you might not be able to pull through it but there's some gems of info in there from his own experience.

Also he recommended this Scott Adams book 'How to fail at everything and still win big' which is pretty decent.

Poor people use debt to purchase furniture sets and laptops. Rich people use debt to finance infrastructure projects with ridiculous profit margins since they will never be able to get their hands on so much capital even if they would want to. They use the profits from such projects to build into and invest into another projects and leveraging them with even more debt until you can almost touch the fucking sun. The difference is that you are 34k in debt enslaved to your local bank just to have some useless furniture and fancy laptops over what you can afford versus you are 74 million in debt but worth 600 million and you sleep in 14 k a night hotel room in NYC. Debt is just a financial instrument. It all depends on how much you are worth or how much value is stored in your assets be it public or private property. This debt free life is socialist propaganda. Everyone who owns any asset of a significant value uses debt over sale. Stock loans are tax free money. Even if you own a god damn horse you can most likely get a loan on it from somewhere. Start using the credit market wisely. Creating money out of perceived value. Half of the money in circulation is credit and some of you are trying to push this debt free meme. The whole point is to borrow and learn how to balance the books in your favor and no the markets don't crash overnight. Most of the problems with the last one started to accumulate in 2001. That gives you more than plenty of time to deleverage and reinvest your holdings. Remember the smart guys who shorted the market in 2008?

My dude, I know. Perhaps I worded it poorly. I've looked at examples and practiced a bit. I know you need the right tone, context, cultural significance, creativity, wit etc. I know you need to know the audience deeply, their worries, fears, vices, etc. I'm definitely not thinking you can write some generic shit like

"Hey, we know you're worried about x, why not buy our product today. You won't have to worry about x anymore"

, which would be garbage. Anyone could do that. More something like:

"STOP!!!
.
.
.
Here's some peace of mind. Don't worry, it's on us. We know you've been worried about x lately and we sympathize. We know how it feels to [symptom of x] and not know when it'll end. We know how it feels to [symptom of x] and stay awake at night. We know x, so let us worry about it."

I know it's not super amazing or original but I wrote it in like 5 mins, I'd say it's about average and has room for growth if I made it niche specific. I feel like I'd be at least above average soon after starting out and getting experience and I'd improve with time. I'd spend a while writing several samples, using several different formats, going over them, picking the best ones and doing it again until I strike gold.

Tbh, my reason for wanting to do direct response is mainly because I type slow as fuck (faster than average but still slow) so I don't wanna write just 1 thing over a long period of time and hand just that in.

Like you said, I'm pretty sure the hard part is starting out.

With that in mind, my usual spic ROM sites are still up, and they upload the ROMS to MediaFire/GDrive/MEGA. So I was thinking on opening my own ROM site.

1. Would it be fine as long as said ROMs are hosted onto big hosting sites and not in my own?
2. Most of those sites, besides ads, use link shorteners for maximum jewery. Should I use them too?
3. I'm not looking for a big profit, but $500.00 a month would finally make me quit my daily job.

They usually collect them and upload them to a third-party host and then you download them. Money is made via link-shorters, aka you earn $5.00 per 1000 clicks on a link.

I'll suppose I'll give it a try.
Now, I don't know jackshit about creating websites.

I was thinking on buying a GoDaddy domain, but I don't know what else to do. If I create a Wordpress webpage, can I upload it to my hosting/domain? Could I make the website offline (using Office, I don't know) and then upload it to my web provider/hosting directly?

Hmmm, maybe. It could be shit or decent depending on the brand and intended message. It's just like when one person can say something and the whole room laughs vs another person saying something and the entire room goes quiet. I can find a lot of examples of aggressive or patronizing copy online

e.g. 'The man your man could smell like'
- Old spice

The whole nike-kaepernick campaign is a good example too.

Patronizing doesn't matter as long as it sells. I'd obviously do my research and target it towards the audience, but I wanted to give a generic example. It's also harder to judge if you're not the intended audience. I don't know if you didn't want to write a full response (understandable, you're not obligated to and this is 4chan) but "Bro that's patronizing as fuck." doesn't mean anything.

You'd need crazy levels of funding in order to expand quickly enough. I don't live in the US but I've seen the gamestop memes.

What exactly would you fix and how would you present it? What would you do that gamestop couldn't easily do themselves? You'd be hard pressed to find VC firm that would even let you in the door. The marketshare of digital games is growing way faster than physical so that's where you should be looking at and that's where VCs are looking at. Nothing is absolute but I expect gamestop to either be done in by amazon and the like or bought out by a company that does better business. I think the former is more likely, after which they'll likely be sold for scraps.

This isn't a putdown of your idea in any way dude, but there are way better ideas if you want to do something related to games.

Two approaches:
>SPAM (i.e. high numbers, low response rates, lots caught by spam filters)
or
>Hyper-Personalize (super-low numbers, high response rates, completely bypasses spam filters)

The way you do this is something along these lines:
>Subject Line
>Super personalized intro
>What you can help them gain
>Quick credibility building
>CTA

You can also mix some humor in there, if you're the funny type.

It'd be something like this, in practice:

>Is this an inappropriate question? (You want to elicit curiosity here)

Hi [name], I recently heard your interview with [podcast host], and I got a bit of courage from you mentioning [interest] - always easier to message someone when they like the same thing!

I'm messaging you because I help [their profession] achieve [results] - I already helped [previous clients] do [result]. I'm sure you can appreciate that this isn't very common, given that [their niche] is super competitive.

I'd be glad to talk further, if you're interested. Just reply with a quick 'yes' and we'll take it from there.

>>11730588
>It could be shit or decent depending on the brand and intended message
No, it'll be shit or decent depending on whether it tickles the audience's weak spots well enough.

Think more '7 Deadly Sins' and less 'muh branding'.

>Patronizing doesn't matter as long as it sells.
While I'd tend to agree, it's my experience that customers generally don't do business with brands they dislike. You can get away with patronizing in a long-form sales letter where there's a very good reason to be patronizing, sure. But there has to be a good reason for it.

>We know you've been worried about x lately and we sympathize.
So what? Creepy. How do you know? How is your sympathy useful? Does it help solve the problem? Who's "we"?

>We know how it feels to [symptom of x] and not know when it'll end.
So what? Relevance? If you know how it feels, show it, don't tell it.

You'd be surprised just how common this is in the industry. If it sounds "good enough" and passes legal, clients legitimately will run such stuff.

But then it predictably bombs, and the writer gets bad rep.

Substance *is* style.
Every word matters.
You only have several seconds to grab attention, promise something BIG, and lead them into the emotional enticement.
And yeah, pretty much. Creativity is largely overrated in copy on the low-medium levels, and highly sought after on the high levels, where the audience has already seen everything, and new ideas, new innovations and angles and hooks are what makes or breaks the promotion.

Can someone explain to a retard like me something, I have dreams about starting my own business, but what I am absolutely shit-my-pants terrified is having that business fail and then being on the hook for thousands of dollars of debt essentially ruining my life. How do people survive business failures (reasonably speaking there is a chance this will happen) but how do people do it? If your business fails does the bank just take everything?

Ok. I'm currently making an automated reporting software for social media marketers. It basically looks at the csv files of insights then produces a word document with general conclusions. I need advice on marketing the fucker though. I dont have much experience doing B2B marketing, but the plan is to get pitch meetings with advertising agencies in my area.

You might have a simple view about what a business is. People investing thousands than losing it all is a story trope. When it's true IRL, it's from people who were usually unprepared or were not in the right mindset. There are plenty of books out there, that can help educate you about this.

A business is just providing value. Even on a small scale, running a lemonade stand is a business. Washing your friends car is a business. Flipping iphones is a business. All the way up to having a clothing line. Having a Or renting hotels/homes/properties. If you're in the right mindset, you're not thinking about failure either. You're failing everyday. You wake up and get to work at bringing value. As you get better at it, you can afford to fail with bigger capital. This is what they call scale. You aren't ever in any danger of ruining your life, because you understand what the exchange of value. Sure there is a degree of risk as you are operating at higher costs. But if you've gotten to that point, you probably know what you're doing.

You have to start at the bottom. Flip your shit, sell lemonade. Or Do the $100-$1000 businesses before messing with $10000+ businesses.

Just... don't. It's a pain in the ass, and consumers don't give a shit how fancy or 'cool' your website is. Seriously.

In fact, you'll find that some of the UGLIEST pages convert best.

E.g. https://10xsecrets.com/masterclass-p

Just go into the writing industry. You can work from home in your bed in your underwear or naked. No need to live in an expensive city you can live on the country side. You can even use a corporation to avoid big income taxes since dividend income is free of tax up to 100 k for married couples.

>Is now a bad time to be leveraging up
The US economy is doing very good. Markets have the best returns outside EM. The yield for fixed assets like government bonds in US is still low and due to the trade unbalances and tensions the stock market is somehow correcting itself for the past 6 months or so. That makes it very interesting to lend to individuals in private credit markets. Especially with good margin returns or substantial stock returns. Think, giving away 20% of your project and you will get a fuck ton of cash for it as of today. The redbook index is maintaining a stable high. Outside the fucked up property market (high mortgage rates / low mortgage applications and low new home sales) fucked up in the sense of good luck if you are not rich, everything is pretty fine domestically. China and India is outperforming on equity markets in Asia. May be second to US. Europe is fucked beyond fun. Banks still hold garbage loans and companies have hard time to deliver on earnings. You can thank Socialism for that. EM are obviously booming, US is in strong recovery thanks to tax cuts and deregulation. Those are all good opportunities to grow your own projects. Once the economy starts to dive so will the market and leveraged assets. That is when you want to buy a farm at least 2200 acres and lease it to the solar power companies $400 per acre for 10 year contract and just yield over MIL for nothing. People need energy even during the downfalls, same with food but food production will yield you maybe 1/3 or 1/5 of what a solar plant will on the same acreage. Always use the public and private markets for leverage and investments when the economy is good and back the fuck back once it tanks. 1/2

2/2 Park the money in assets that are needed to exist for the people to not to die. Wait it up and sell / leverage back to the market once its hits the low. You buy all the strong stocks and assets that are down just because the holders needed hard cash not because the assets are not valuable. Those assets will yield you in 1000% in just couple of years. The 2007 stock crash was a dream for everyone who had cash on hand since all the cool assets were given away for bargain. Rinse and repeat. Nothing more than asset allocation.

Yeah it's a fucked up place right now, particularly since I'm on the brink of starting a DR agency, it appears. Not quite sure investment is going to come in, but if it does, I'll be very, very busy.
