Before you look at the military, you should look elsewhere. Let's assume that the military is 100% useless and it is just for show. Even then, the military is a middle-class salary road for some of the most hardworking people of this country. Many of who, after service, become great engineers, investors, etc. So before you cut that, how about you cut funding from all the retarded public universities that just fund a massive bureaucracy. As it stands, with no additional assumption we can (1) prove these people are completely useless (back in the day no bureaucracy was needed, just one guy checking your grades and a secretary you could talk to for requests) and are also some of the most degenerate and lazy people that exist (just look up how many of these people have bullshit degrees like gender studies).
