Yea. I'd reccomend something with no transactions fees. I use etrade and theres tons of mutual funds that offer it with no min $. So you could put $10 a week into if you wanted with no fees. Or for etfs VTI is no fee. So you could buy one share on a regular schedule.

What do people think about this theory. Technology takes forever to reach into small businesses and other places. It's usually like 10 years behind in some cases. If it becomes "easy" for software to adapt to needs and be easy to use it's bigger of a change than actual advancements.

So with ML and more and more stuff becoming easier to use we could see a big pop in tech over the next few years. Not because of advancement but because adapting old tech to new tech could be easier.

ML can't solve much shit at all right now. Most companies have no fucking idea how to use it.
Small businesses (mom & pop shops) tend to have older hardware, but horizontal scalability is actually the standard solution for cutting edge tech companies now -- this involves buying more cheap commodity hardware instead of buying a single fancy, bulky mainframe.
Small businesses (start-ups) don't have this issue though, I think.

I think usually it's the case that the mom & pop shops just don't have the resources. Their websites are typically WordPress shit that was contracted out for a few hundred or few grand.
Square and Shopify has made it easier for them to at least have good payment systems.

Sure. ML has hardly been usable outside of the largest of tech companies. You can find those SQ tablets or apps in just about every small business or taxi cab though.
Also, how easy is it to spin up a brand with Shopify to do dropshipping? As long as you aren't an old asshat, it takes about a week or two and some internet marketing knowledge.

We've already moved from a production-based economy to a service-based economy with relatively little outrage (so far).

There will always be jobs so long as there are things machines can't do perfectly, or services we'd rather get from a human. How many times have you wanted to talk to a human being opposed to a pre-recorded message? I don't know about you, but I'd rather get investment advice or real estate planning from a human being.
