Can anyone refute this video by Roger? Seems pretty obvious that Bitcoin can easily scale to global usage levels. What are the arguments on the Core side?

If you keep growing the block size, mining will be limited to hardware manufacturers and even then you might have sluggish and expensive transactions. It would be worse than xrp at that point, because at least they have some sort of legal obligations.

Core is trying to keep the root chain decentralized and build a high velocity transaction layer. Consider it a division of labor.
