This limit is entirely arbitrary contrary to what the media tells you.
This leaves btc as a ponzi scheme as without on chain adoption there is no security, again off chain adoption does not incentivize security.

The centralization is usually exaggerated, though it is correct to say that to store the full chain (assuming mass adoption/use) it would almost be impossible for the average individual. However, for one to run a validating node, they need only keep the UTXO set which is comparably tiny.

It is based on the false premise that there is some objective metric called "centralization" that must be maximized at the expense of all other performance domains (tx throughput, fungibility, etc.)
The reality is there are many different kinds of centralization to consider and these must be balanced against other performance domains. People are completely clueless about how extreme the requirements are for full 32mb or 128mb blocks. It may be possible to dramatically improve the software but in the current state it's in you would be looking at a twin cpu server with 512gb of ram and a fuckton of SSDs as a minimum. If anyone tried to use BCH 32mb blocks now you would find most miners will just refuse to mine anything bigger than 4mb or 8mb. The RAM and SSD requirements are beyond what you get on AWS or azure cloud services.

It's pretty likely the BTC whitepaper is filled with numerous incorrect assumptions. Satoshi was good at cryptography but only an average programmer. Much of the stuff regarding PoW contradicts itself, at first he said 1 cpu = 1 vote but later on he didn't seem to be opposed to specialized hardware which resulted in 1 autistic chinese fraudster with ASICs = 5,000,000 votes one CPU = 0.00000001 votes.

So far BCH hasn't had to deliver on any of it's scaling claims as the blocks are always empty aside from the one time they briefly spammed it. It's easy to make these claims when no one can test them.

The brand name is one of the few things Bitcoin has going for it. If a "flippening" were to happen, that name would get burned. There's no way in hell you can burn down Bitcoin and then move on to Bitcoin Cash as if nothing happened.

When you realize that BTC is only worth what it is because all of it's transaction volume happens off chain on exchanges due to it being a trading pair, you realize how worthless BCH is. From a tech perspective it does nothing special and does transactions much worse than other new tech.

What I said is that being slightly better than BTC is not a good thing, BTC is ancient tech at this point, many other projects do secure decentralized ledger much better.
What you are missing is why BTC is worth what it is, beating BTC in technology or even real world adoption will do nothing as the billions in volume is on trading leveraged derivatives (altcoins) in a ponzi market.

Hard fork = Two separate networks. Like for example BTC and BCH. These nodes don't communicate with each other, BCH added replay protection meaning every transaction you send on BCH won't reach BTC nodes. 2 networks 2 cryptos.

Chain split = One network, separate chains. Like for example SV client and ABC client. They will still communicate with each other and receive all BCH transactions. As long as your UTXO is valid on both chains it will be included in both chains. Each new mined SV block will be rejected by ABC clients and vice versa, so there will be two chains, however if you don't deliberately go out of your way to split your coins by using opcodes that one chain finds invalid, then your tx will be in both chains. 1 network 1 crypto.

also, exchanges are supposed to listen to the chain with the most proof of work. that's why even if there are 2 chains in 1 network there will still only be 1 crypto.

some rogue exchanges will incorrectly list 2 versions of BCH. this is because they don't respect the way bitcoin is supposed to work. it's very risky to do so because if one chain dies off, as it usually does, then a lot of people will wonder why all their money disappeared. splitting coins is dangerous because someone will always lose money, even if it isnt the one doing the splitting.
