I won $1300 on the Texas lottery long ago. Got 5 out of 6 numbers dammit. Me and 99 other anons got 5 out of 6 too. The jackpot was $6 million.

I won it a week before a good friend died of liver cancer. I gave the ticket, unsigned, to his family to help with his expenses before he passed away.

I won $300 on a scratch off some years later. I haven't bought many tickets/scratch offs in the last year because I'm on the edge of being broke all the time now it seems.

Gamble for entertainment only. Do not gamble what you can't lose, do not gamble expecting to win. Lottery tickets are the same as any other kind of gambling, just with a smaller stake and worse odds.

I know some people who are on government benefits and they still buy tickets to every single draw. These people simply do not understand probability. Don't be like these people.
