Daily reminder leaf fags that EVERY crypto trade is taxable. That means buying BTC with CAD as well as buying BAT with BTC. Not just cashing out to fiat like most of you think. You have to include your hundreds of shitcoin trades in your capital gains tax.

Most of you have committed tax fraud and you WILL be caught eventuality. Canada has data sharing agreements with other countries where exchanges are hosted and they will gladly hand over your trades. Have a lovely day.

Completely piss off the next generation of entrepreneurs while you strip them of wealth and drown them in paperwork.
Good plan, boomers. No way that could backfire as you all become old and invalid.

Reminder that student loans have to be repaid too but around 40% are expected to default by 2023.

Reminder that less than .5% of all people in crypto have reported taxes.

Reminder that piracy is illegal but most do it anyway.

Reminder that governments are failing to adapt to changes in science and technology quick enough, and most shit is just scare tactics. The honest truth is you have an incredibly low chance of getting fucked for not reporting crypto taxes if you’ve never cashed out, and by the time you do, it should be at the point where you’ve made it anyway and can just fuck off to another country, or it’s at the point where crypto is so big that you’re lost in the ocean of bigger whales.

Yeah well the cra should have made a proper statement years before the crypto craze. All the normies that got in and got burned didn't report anything. Furthermore they need to elaborate the tax rules so I don't need to hire a tax lawyer to tell me what the fuck is taxed and how it's taxed. That alone is another reason why normies and everyone else isn't reporting fuck all because no one understands the rules.

CPA here, this dude is a fucking moron. The CRA has clearly stated that only amounts cashed to Canadian dollars are taxable. Fuck off with your low quality bait.

Canada will be a failed state in 10 years hopefully with shariah law enforced by local tribes while China will conquer the western coast, all male Anglo Canadians dumb enough to not flee to the Neo American Balkans will then be brutally murdered/enslaved and castrated for the glory of Allah while the women will be bred by brown cocks to bear new islamic warriors.

Crypto taxes are THE LEAST of your problem leaf, check the Barbary trade if you want to foresee your future.

In the US people who earn an in income of 80k or less don't have to pay capital gains tax. Is there something similar in Canada?

Btw, if you live in Canada, things are collapsing so fast you probably wont be paying tax to any government.

How can crypto-crypto trades be taxed? If I trade BTC for BAT at 4k sats, then trade BAT back to BTC for 4.1k sats, would I be taxed on the BTC profits only? OP makes it sound like the first trade would be taxed which I don't get
