what if we just killed all the boomers? would this be a boon or a drag for the economy?

>> No.11589382

A massive drag on the economy because you're killing a skilled, conservative labor pool.

the way I see it boomers are very rich now mostly because they stole from future generations by creating an impossible to overcome negatively amortizing debt and a blank check to insurance companies to make sure they are taken care of before the whole shitshow falls apart in 20 years (at the absolute most). I'm wondering if perhaps instead of paying for all of their healthcare if the economy might improve if they were to stop living.

You're being as shortsighted as them then. There are second order effects.

If you kill anyone over 65, people won't retire, they'll flee the country (including smuggling assets out) when they're 64. If you ban leaving the country for 64 year olds, that drops to 63 year olds leaving, etc.

If you kill anyone when they retire, you'll breed resentment and have people working well past the point at which they *should* retire.

If you make it a one off culling for the Boomers, there's no guarantee Zoomers and Millennials won't do the same to Gen X, so Gen X is now either resentful or fearful during prime earning/producing years.

The prime movers for our situation (Wilson, FDR, Johnson, and their respective congresses) are long dead and buried anyway.

peabrain, he didn't say kill all pensioneers, he said kill all boomers, all in a swift stroke
ofc this would be fantastic, because gen x will then inherit all their shit they hoarded for themselves, and their state pensions are forfeit, so there goes that MASSIVE expense
