A smart contract would have to stake the same amount of money in collateral as the total amount of money at stake for a failure to avoid exploitation, if you stake 500k to secure a 1MM dollar contract, you are actually able to exploit the difference. Which means the total market cap of LINK should be proportional to the total amount of money staked on the network, or more, due to hoarders who don't stake. This means that in theory if 1 trillion dollars in smart contracts is staked on LINK, each token is worth 1k. This is not unreasonable since market cap is a thin indicator, thinking the market cap of LINK has to be tied to the actual amount of money invested IN LINK is ridiculous, this is how all high level institutions operate. The amount of LINK being bought and sold will be fractions of the amount staked.
