I just started a volunteer role at a small not-for-profit. At the moment, the NFP is starting up a business that would involve sale of organic seeds and/or seed products.

How would you price a product? I know market research plays a role but how will you utilise the research in your pricing?

Also, anyone know of good, free cost accounting/management accounting (i.e. pricing, costing, budgeting) resources?

for such a developed market as the one you're trying to get into I think market research is everything. Judging by a google of "organic seeds" it's a competitive market so you probably won't have much pricing power as a small operator.

if you can, just put the price according to your local groceries price or the sunday market price.
