>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks, and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

These trucks are very expensive, and I WHAT I've seen of the new Ranger. On the other hand, I think it's good that F seems to be proactive now instead of later.
All that said, I have my hundred block of F. My average is $9.20. I'll hold it forever, but if the stock price gets up to $11 I will dump it. The DIV income I get in the meantime is definitely going toward other positions.

My retirement funds are down 7% in 1 month. I feel physically ill. I am having trouble sleeping and concentrating at work. I didn't even accomplish anything in the last 2 weeks. I think I have seriously overstated my risk tolerance. I am literally watching my life's work being flushed away. Every single day it goes down more I just think about how many more months of work it will take to make it back. What the hell am I supposed to do. I feel like I should just sell and go 100% bonds until retirement. The stock market was a mistake and of course I bought in right at ATH before a major crash. It could take 10 years to recover my losses and I don't want to wait that long. What should I do.

if you are trying to compare GBR with CEI thats a bit idiotic imo.... CEI has a float of ~73million while GBR has a float of ~2mill... CEI just exchanged liabilities for assets.. GBR just gained Stockholder equity and assets through the sells of restricted stock that'll be subject to rule 144 and when those shares change hands the control of company will aswell.. GBR has very low debt and CEI still has some conversions..

Not sure if you are trying to make a point with your post or if you just think for some reason CEI and GBR are one in the same company.. not sure what you are trying to get at.. could you explain?

TA for the Canopy Growth (canadian chart). Sector almost always tags along with papa Canopy Growth's during high volatility whole sector swings. The HMMJ ETF chart shows the correlation.

Anyway. since Canopy is the heavy, I figured to take a look at the goings on here and when to expect a bounce and so on.

>purple lines were key supports
>sliced clean through the first two and tipped a wick in to the third today. All three today. for fucks sake.
> Constellation Brands did their 5 billy investment around 48/49 as I recall, that is right about the current 100 day SMA. That price of 48.72 is likely low support on this drop.

Honestly, I admit that I hardly know anything about the market as a whole, my """""expertise""""" is more in biotech stocks, though I do intend to invest in utilities and consumer staples as well

I don't claim to know what I'm talking about, though, and I assume that nobody on here really knows what they're doing compared to actual professionals, just that they know more than I do

Do you think my point is wrong
As a whole, economies tend towards generating value over the long term, and it's more likely than not that if you hold, you'll end up on the top in the long run

The window to raise is closing if not closed already due to the markets. You didn't see a recession. TSLA will not raise a penny in a recession. If the market craters, they are BK in months because they will not raise. I'm not even sure they can raise straight equity and not some convertible preferred stock in private placement. They can't survive tight money, and we are in the period of tight money already. It's like the difference of GM vs F in the 2007 recession. F raised early, GM left it for the last moment and they failed vs F that survived. TSLA should have raised when it could, now they may not raise. I think it's sinking in. I also think it's too late already. The pipeline of deals will not get done fully, TSLA gets in the back of the line. They need a white knight. Elon's margin calls will get triggered anyway, so I'm not sure why he fights it. It's about surviving as a going concern now.

This is a recession. You can tell by the sudden rush of money raising rounds. Those are the last rounds. TSLA is not in them. They lose. They wipe out due to the type of companies TSLA is. Those don't survive the recession. TSLA's business model depends on capital markets being open. They are no longer open. It's over for them. What will happen if Musk's margin calls get triggered? Because they are with 100% certainty and soon. They waited to raise because of his margin calls. Now it's a question of solvency. Banks have deals on deck for companies that will survive if they manage to raise now, but I think the docket gets closed or essentially closed with no easy money. It has been my short thesis from the beginning, that they will not survive the recession. I even assumed they will raise. Now I'm looking at a very real possibility of no raise and acceleration of a wipe out.

>> No.11492383

>>11492318
It's pretty simple. They need money or they can't pay the bills. They need A LOT of money or they can't grow. That means it needs to be on bad terms to be worth it, which means less banks willing to lend.

The stocks get sold to raise money in a recession. Everything gets flushed down. Some companies can comeback, because stocks is one thing but business is another thing. Companies that depend on high valuation for funding get wiped out. It's futile to defend $250 or whatever they defend if everything will get flushed down for a few quarters. Now, TSLA needs stock price high to create confidence in that tomorrow they can raise if they need to. That goes away no matter what. The question now is will they survive shutdown capital markets. I'm betting they can't. They certainly can't raise money to grow now, they are too late. Even if they pay their bills, Musk gets margin called anyway, and money to grow will be available at very different valuation. It's even if it will be available if the stock is not priced for easy raises.
