I seriously don't understand how wagies can continue to wage. It only takes 1-2 thousand dollars, and a functioning brain to be able to live off of investments

FB is facebook. Options trading is something you should google yourself but its more lucrative and thereby more risky than regular stock purchasing. Facebook in particular fluctuates well enough to make a hearty profit if it goes in the correct direction.

Guess everyone has its own meaning in life. I go to work 5 days a week, many over hours. Paid $180k~ (before bonusses) to troubleshoot hardware issues at big companies. It's always a challenge to me and I enjoy doing it. So much in fact that I have kept advancing in my field next to my job through seminars and attaining certificates, some of which aren't even relevant to the hardware I currently work with. I still live with my parents, have saved about 80% of my income over the past 4.5 years and am looking at retirement before I hit 35. For me this is the life, I feel repulsed whenever I hear people brag about being neets or beating the system by getting welfare or leeching of their parents income. It's not even that hard, yall just lazy losers.

Would you still work so eagerly if your income was 18k/year (after taxes) + bonuses (a corporate birthday/NY/Xmas present - like a coffee cup or a pen with firm's logo, worth $1)? Would you still enjoy your job?

Don't laugh at him. I'd also work my ass off for 180k salary + good bonuses. You can just work 10 years, save as much as possible and you're a millionaire, it's fucking awesome. If he really enjoys his work then it's even better.

It's just that not everyone lives in the US or Western Europe. When you read about people who make x10 more doing the same job it's extremely demotivating and demoralizing.
Like "fuck it, it's better to be a neet than to toil for peanuts".

Ofc not. And good luck finding anyone to do what I do who has availability and accepts any wage below 180k. That's the beauty of working in a highly specialised field, there are only few people to replace you (in that area/company). Especially when you have experience and certificates under your belt which would take any new hire half a decade to teach before he could start working.

You dont know what option trading is you imbecile zoomer. Its essentialy gambling and near impossible to get right every time. Anyone who claims to live off options is either lying or a 19 yo child playing with pocket money who managed not to get margin called on their first 2 gambles. Those people eventually lose everything and either go into debts, beg mummy for money or live off welfare.
