Have you managed to be consistently profitable enough that you don't need a 9-5? So far I've made about $1,000(on a $2,000 account) and this is my first year trading. I think I'll slowly progress to a $10,000 account so I can get use to both making and losing larger amounts of money.

how long did that take you?

2 months. I made 400 in the first month of live trading. Then 600(once I learned how to add on to orders)

What's the difference between crypto and forex trading?

I mean as in technically in what you need to do there. Isn't it just way more difficult because you compete with serious pros and it's a mature market?

Forex is pretty simple i'd say. It's just that you really have to master your emotions. The technical aspect can be learned within a month of dedicated learning. It's not doing stupid things based on your dumb emotions thats the hard part.

Also, while there is market manipulation, I'd say it's to a much lesser extent than crypto. Just don't place your stop losses in easy to know areas.

Not bad. I just hope you use proper risk management.

That's the first thing I learned about. Also my brother has been trading way longer(like 2 years) and while he's gotten pretty good, he keeps trying to flip $200 to a $1,000 and ends up losing everything. But he already knew that was an improper way. Now he's making like $300-$400 a week using proper lot sizes.
