>be me
>ok university in Germoney
>activelly NEET away my free education on an undergrad business degree in controlling & finance (mainly because it does not force me to do a master)
>fat, bad health, barely any social interaction
>barely pass every exam while learning a bit of programming on the side
>unemployed for a couple of months afterwards
>stay NEET
>think about suicide because what's the point
>lazily write a couple of application for positions I never get anyways to keep unemployment benefits
>literally copy/paste all applications from random web blanks & replace buzzwords
>get a single interview at a mid/large sized listed corporation basically next door
>land the job
>accept
>first lunch with collegues
>accidentally drops NEETy joke about cheese pizza being a good idea for lunch
>collegues & boss laugh their asses off
>CEO likes me, takes me to go on fairs, even though I am just a backoffice finance guy

I get appreciation for what I do (mainly coding applications for the finance department).
For a couple of weeks, a collegue literally forces me to go to the gym with him to get /fit.
I have a date for the first time in my life.

They most likely see this post and make fun of me tomorrow, but I dont care.

Dont be afraid of having a job, guys.
It literally saved my life and made me happy.

This guy is right

>Thought i was a pschopath and had no intellectual friends

>studied medicine and started working
>everyone is a pschopath and makes fun of dying people

I think your task in life is to find a workplace where people are mentally the same way as deranged as you are

The time it takes me from my door to my desk is less than 15 Minutes. As long as there is no kid running around or break my leg, I am most likely not allowed to do home office.

So much this. The jokes might be extreme, but we really care for each other. Good to see others having the same luck as I do.

Funny enough: my professor wrote a paper on crypto, which is based on the findings within my bachelor thesis. It was the sole reason they invited me for the interview.
Also no, not touching crypto right now. But thank you.

The job description title says "controller", but I actually do anything that needs an opinion on IT and write makros & small applications in VB, based on the needs of my collegues.
Right now, working on a database for controlling the smaller internal projects is the main task to work on until December or January.
