0x the funding token has zero uses. nobody uses any exchange that requires you to hold it to pay fees. fees are rightfully only paid in the native fee currency, ether.

Lots of ERC20 tokens are going to die a slow death. People are slowly realizing these scam ICO tokens are worthless.

most alts will, 0x is no exception. the trend is clear with no exchanges willing to require their funding token, meaning they will never have any lock-in or network effects around their funding token, it's failed at being that from the start

It will have the same use bnb has for binance. 2k zrx is retirement money.

>> No.11422839

>>11422816
and guess what, ethfinex doesn't use zrx for anything.
I don't know about the rest but the story will/is probably be the same.

A bigger problem is that even if they do, the tokens aren't burned, only moved, leading to a valuation that depends on quantity theory of money only (extremely low).

Exactly, they have our eth, therefore they have no reason to follow through to benefit token holders.
When I first got into crypto I will admit I fell for a few of these shit tokens, so I see why a lot of people are pulled in by these frauds. Over time I realized btc and privacy coins hold the most value where crypto is concerned.

>> No.11423013

If it were the same value market cap as rth it would only be $40

No onenusing it : 0xtracker dot com

>> No.11423025

>>11422950
btc has no fundamental source of value, it's nothing but a cryptocollectible now. Which is why it's valued so high, fads have no valuation models.
It has one more potential bubble in store from 'institutional money' and that's it.

The biggest crypto will be used to pay fees for smart contracts. It doesn't have to be ether, they are making many blunders lately, but right now it remains the most likely candidate.
Pure currency coins will die, privacy or not, because privacy+anonymity can be implemented as a smart contract. It's going to work not only for the native token, but for all other tokens also. Imagine anonymous stablecoins that can be traded on an anonymous dex, the demand will be astronomical.
Other platforms and/or utility coins will die too, no reason to have two.

wtf. dex fees (ok uncommon thus far?) and governance votes on the protocol. Important paradex is built on 0x protocol I'm sure coinbase will want voting power

>governance votes
which allows for what? what's being governed?
the team has the majority of all tokens, so it's a moot point anyway
>dex fees
moved, not burned. The problem with utility tokens like that is that there's no reason to hold them, only buy once you need them and sell immediately when you don't.
>>11423060
that's what speculation is. I'm certain it will happen that way, barring world war 3 or something similar. I'm not certain it's going to be ethereum, but if it's going to be ethereum, it's going to be worth trillions

>> No.11423161

>>11423047
that's my main concern actually. I have no idea what the token is used for outside of governance voting. Fee's are option as is my understanding?

Where is the value derived from if people using it to pay fees isn't even a thing?

>> No.11423197

The volume coinbase pro on erc tokens as soon as the golden bullrun starts it's going to be stupid. It will have bnb use but for trading erc tokens

thats never going to happen any time soon. normies dont even understand the purpose of 0x much less how to even use it. coinbase isnt even erc20 supported and holding it on normiebase doesnt even work right as of now. $3 is my target selloff - thats when we dump them back down to where this shitcoin belongs.
