Blockstream wants to prove is works between exchanges and people in the cryptoindustry, then they will propose certain central banks around the world do a pilot program, which will probably be secret.

This pilot will be evaluated and, Blockstream hopes, integrated into SWIFT 2.0 or w/e, a new world standard for bank transfers.

This converts Blockstream into government contractors and they'll be unicorn rich at that point. They'd get bought up by someone like Goldman-Sachs as having technology too important not to own, or w/e. Boom, platinum parachutes for them and their investors.

The only problem is that it utterly destroys what was revolutionary about bitcoin, but they appear perfectly willing to ignore that in order to get rich.

Despicable.

people will never reach consensus because of human nature, there always will be "elite" playing everyone around
