100% your own fault for not doing the research on jobs before you got a shit degree.

with comp sci you can even make your own experience.. OP needs to not be a lazy fuck and work on a side resume project. A simple 3 tiered architecture website will do wonders, and should take a weekend to 2 tops.

comp sci is useless.

Do you know how to program useful shit? You'll get a 100k a year job.

You don't? You don't get shit.

degrees are irrelevent.

oh also if you're unlikable you're fucked and will never get hired regardless

Yea....you should have done info systems my man. You can’t fake whiteboard questions in interviews I found out the hard way. Info sys is basically a business admin degree of IT so you can bullshit your way into help desk, business/system analyst roles, shit even basic marketing stuff. Comp sci backs you into a corner of strictly programming. Sorry that you got memed into that by 4chan, id try looking for help desk or QA testing positions it beats being a minimum wage retail cuck.

>a sys admin employs and fixes said software

Tell me anon, who is smarter, the mechanic who works on cars or the engineer who designs them?

>> No.11413341

a computer science degree doesn't qualify you for programming jobs for a start.

you didn't goof and it could be a lot worse, you just need to figure out what skills you need to learn to get a job you want and do that. you didn't learn this stuff in class so you need to get off your ass and do it yourself.

The mechanic. He makes more than the engineer, has more independence, and has a higher satisfaction from actually seeing the results of his contribution. All the engineer gets is the hubris of having his *education* which amounts to fuck all in the real world.
