>85% of my day consists of reading e-books and clicking my mouse when someone walks by to appear busy
Is this how all office jobs are lads? My mind is blown at how little actual “work” takes place in an office.

eye opening view of how the system is built to be intentionally inefficient by tying down people to useless 'work'

Patrician.

Keep cutting into Mr Shekelberg's profits by being unproductive as fuck lad. You're fighting the good fight.

All my jobs that I ever had working as an accountant were like that. You can't imagine the suffering having a job like that in the 80s pre internet. One job I read the wsj cover to cover every day plus two other newspapers another job my goal was to complete every variation of spider solitaire in order (there were 23,000 if I remember) and I got up over 12,000 before I quit

Why would anyone put in a lot of effort to be the best slave they can be to buy mr.shekelstein a vacation home? I seriously don’t get that mentality, unless you are upper management any job paying under 150k isn’t going to get you that far ahead in life. I’d rather just be comfy and put my time to use studying things that interest me on the company’s dime, and drawing at my desk.
>>11408856
Jesus that sounds painful man, how many other jobs are like this though? Am I just really lucky? I mean my pay is kind of shitty but I’d rather make less and not be overworked considering I have other forms of income.

Well, there you have your problem... if your work would be well paid, you actually would do interesting work instead of being stuck in a soon-to-be outsourced/automized position.

Ehh this def isn’t a long term gig, and I will probably be smacked in the face when I get a job that pays well and is actually demanding. The question is though is the demand worth the extra 20-40k when my time is currently being spent bettering myself instead of bettering mr. Goldberg’s wallet?
>>11408984
Yes, if you spend your time doing other people’s work instead of putting the time to use for yourself you are probably an NPC with enough self awareness that you have the potential to break the mold.

So by that logic NPC's apparently enjoy solving problems?
Wouldn't they just beat the game for you then?
In beating the game, wouldn't that make the players (non-NPC's) the one true NPC and thr game (life) obsolete?

Fucking this. I am a programmer at a big government corporate and our sprints are literally designed to have less work than we can actually do. I can't fathom how people are overworking or how things aren't finished in time. My work load (which I pick from the sprint) is barely enough to keep me entertained. 90% of the day I am doing jackshit and developing my own stuff. If I would (read: could) work at 100% capacity I could literally replace like 3 FTE. But everyone rather does 10% of work, than actually splitting the workload between people required to get to 100% at an efficient rate. And that's just my team there are tens of teams operating like mine. Office jobs are one big simulation of being busy. If people would actually work, 90% of people could be fired.

NPC’s enjoy being told what to do and following orders. Yes, they can serve as pawns to be used to advance in the game of life. That usually requires being in a position that required a trust fund or great risks to obtain (ex. Taking out a (((loan))) to start a business and hire employees). Personally I’d rather gamble on crypto than give bankers my money for the opportunity to start a business with a 40-50% fail rate and 25-30% of my income from that business going to the ZOG in taxes. For me I enjoy the security of my wage cuck job, but still have time to work on other skills and investments for future opportunities for making money.

Life is war, exchanging tone for money is only worth it if:
1. You have no other money or income streams
2. You're getting paid over 90k and working under 50 hours

>tfw good balance of work

Unless its a very busy week, I typically spend the last 2 hours of my shift listening to audiobooks at my desk. Plus, I only work a 4 hour shift on Fridays (36 hour work week) and I'm salaried.
