>work in a place where a culture of unpaid overtime is normal
>have things outside of work that I'd rather be doing
>surrounded by NPC wageslave colleagues who regularly put in 12 hour days yet get paid for 8 hours
>work allocation is shit and deadlines are unrealistic
>management consists of a bunch of faggots who have no life outside of work which has filtered down to the more aspirational runts who are trying to climb the cuckladder

How the FUCK can you be expected to thrive in modern day wageslavery when you are surrounded by faggots like this?

Just stop feeding the system. Stop showing up. Live more modestly so that you can have more freedom.

Business is probably ran like shit at the admin level, and so it propagates down to the wage slaves. Get out unless you like being a cancer cell in a tumor.

Dunno bruh, I think this is an industry wide phenomenon.

You would expect wages to be big to compensate for extra hours you put in but they are not. I got jew'd hard accepting a position at this clusterfuck. Been there for 7 months now, probably gonna wind down my effort and quit after Christmas when hiring season picks back up.

Every day I am astonished that there are "people" who regard things like unpayed overtime work and working for 12 hours a day as normal. Wtf is wrong with this world. (Or rather wtf is wrong with Americans)

Interview elsewhere. As boomers die off and automation takes off we’ll look back on wageslavery as a bizarre adult crèche to prevent societal breakdown

This was normal and even expected where I worked (3 jobs all the same expectations- ne us, finance). I opted out after around 8-10 years becuase I couldn’t deal with this shit anymore. Never been happier

Only the most ass kissing, dull, SOP abiding bots get to become middle management. The only sane people in organizations are recent grads or people that have a <2 year tenure within it.

Nowadays, to be successful you need to find ways of making money independently, the internet has allowed us to do that.

Society as we once knew it is basically obsolete now and will continue to be phased out when AI becomes better. By then, workplaces will just be AI playgrounds and the hamsters are humans picking at each other over tiny seeds and hiding spaces.

I said fuck it and stopped working overtime. Kek management was but hurt about this. They wanted to force me by giving a bad yearly review. Luckily I was already working on finding an other job and found one with less stress.

People really need to grow some balls

stop being a cuck and work your 8 hours
also have a plan b going on, start applying elsewhere if shtf
if management makes a fuss you have your plan b to rely on

Feel you OP, in the same situation. I have chosen to not give a fuck, do my work, and whether it takes 6 or 10 hours, i fucking leave. Fuck sitting around and trying to look good. I will let my results speak for themselves. And if they have a problem with that, I have enough saving and an impressive track record to move jobs. WE WILL MAKE IT, WE WILL NOT SLAVE MORE THAN OUR ALLOCATED AMOUNT OF SLAVE TIME EACH DAY/WEEK.

Grow a fucking sac and join the fire service. Make decent money to invest aggressively. Be physical, in great shape, confident, save lives... work 10 days a month... buy crypto and fuck bitches. Just remember to pull out

I know you are american.
You can leave if you want. It is totally legal. Corp loves when you work for free. Stop doing it.
>aspirational runts
Well that is a way to get ahead. See you can stop if you want, but you’ll never move up. You’ll ride the corporate treadmill forever. The way to climb the ladder is to outcuck the biggest cuck in the office. Sad reality.
>>11408423
It is a country-wide phenomenon. Unless you work in financial svcs, in which case it is both industry and country-wide. In fin, it is due to the performance culture.
