Yelled at for recording a webex

So i was just yelled at via chat by one of my senior leaders for recording a webex conversation with a potential partner regarding a specific opportunity. I do this because when your driving a conversation with 9 people who are all more senior than you its hard to take concise notes and hammer out the right follow up/next steps. The boomer legit was SEETHING that i pressed the fucking record button.

Is this just a boomer thing or do you all have similar feelings about someone recording a webex meeting?
