Link already has an mcap of over 100M though, at best we can hope for a mcap of 10B if all goes well and that's very optimistic. We would get to about 30$ per token, you'd need over 33k LINK to get 1M from that, not an amazing investment it seems. That's not how circulating supply works.

If someone has link, they can choose to stake it or sell it.

If the price rises beyond the amount they expect to make through staking, they will sell.

Sort of like how an apartment complex is not on the market because the owners are making money renting out the units and don't care to sell, but might consider it if the price rises.
