Want to ditch my shitty Wells Fargo accounts mom-mom and dad-dad set me up with in college.

Any preferences? I don't make cash deposits. I use Zelle and Venmo mostly. Is there any downside to online only banks like Ally?

As far as national chains go I hear good things about Chase. I only fuck with local banks as they are always less busy and never charge you for shit annually.

Whatever you do, don't go with Bank of America. They are known for fucking their customers over relentlessly and don't give a shit.

Ally is pretty nice honestly, I still have accounts at physical stores as well though

Unless you are Preferred Rewards then you are a god in their eyes. They waive any and every fee at that level.

Chase Sapphire just came out with a similar product so I’ll probably switch to that

Ally is pretty nice. They’re a no bullshit bank with competitive interest rates. Good place to just put your money and not think about it

I like USAA for the interface.
Chase is better with billpay, because if the payee doesn't take e-payments, Chase will cut a cashier's cheque and mail it.
Both have US or Canadian customer service.

Although, I think you have to be a vet or have a balance of 10K to get those services for free.

Citi has a 2% cash back on literally everything credit card.
,
American Express is dog shit rewards-wise and still has customer service in India.

Discover has a good 0% for 18mo card if your cc habit got out of hand or you gave a dig shit card you want to get out from.

I've heard good things about Ally, but USAA is awesome so I don't really shop around.
