I want to create a data company that provides the living status of famous celebrities, politicians, businessmen and other prominent figures (no military or private citizens).

How can I monetize this information and what would be my business model?

I’ve thought about something vaguely similar to this. A coin or token that would act as an option for assisted suicide. Someone willingly puts their name on the network and once killed by another participant their value is sent to their killer. The runner wouldn’t just allow the killer to end them, though. This would be for thrill seekers who’ve already felt every kind of adrenaline rush there is to be had.

I’ve thought about putting a hit out in myself before so this seems like a logical use for a token to me.

holy shit this can have some sinister applications. I wouldn't be surprised if the government has this already

Putting the sinister (and probably illegal) use cases for my service, how do I monetize my company and the service I provide? Does my data have any value at all?

what would be the point of your API if you don't have any sinister/illegal uses? Just to check if some old fart actor from the 60s is still alive? Who would want that?

>>11325509
if this was feasible you would make a shitload of money. like a deadly amusement park where you drop in and see if you could survive

in the future, Oracle will be a human job. humans will go out and bring information into the blockchain. a jury of highly reputable Oracles can decide whether a landscaping job has been completed, so the contracted company can get paid. Oracle detectives will fulfill requests like "what color is my neighbor's toothbrush","is x still alive", or "what is the temperature at x location".

SOMEONE has also been thinking about this, for the purposes of building a "smart contract-killing" platform that could automatically payout upon the verified death of an individual thanks to Chainlink. The question is, "what type of information could a killer get that no one else has access to, but that everyone could verify"? The only solution I have is DNA. I know next to nothing about genetics but over the last two months I've spoken to three practicing geneticists to do a bit of digging. While most forms of DNA analysis are too expensive for the average person, there DOES exist a cheap and readily available, high-volume human genome map that is unique to individuals and costs only $20 to have analyzed. Any two results are nearly 100% for any one individual. (So smart contracts could simply say a 99.95% match or better, for example, between to results would indicate a positive match) The only question then is "how could a killer safely distribute DNA samples to have verified?" (The oracle operators participating in this business would simply send a DNA sample for processing, vote that the killer has, in fact, eliminated the target, and then they'd get a small fraction of the bounty.). I'm still working on this but SOMEONE has written up a whitepaper that explains the process from the perspective of both the Hitman and the payee. Im sure that this system will exist at some point in the future, and it would be impossible for any government to shut down. Eventually, SOMEONE will figure out the flaws (such as "how can I make sure this DNA came from a DEAD person?"). When the flaws are patched, SOMEONE will make this (but not me obviously, otherwise why would I write about this here?).

You could allow people to place bets on how long people have left. Every second / minute / hour / day, whatever they pick, that the person remains alive would pay / request money from their wallet.

I can't create a legitimate data company like this one if I don't have legitimate, non-illegal use cases anon. It boils down to 2 reasons:

Reason 1: Plausible deniability. Financial api companies aren't held responsible when someone uses their api to perform insider trading or market manipulation or quote stuffing. Why you might ask? Because these companies have plausible deniability and many legit use cases.

If my business doesn't have this sort of plausible deniability I am going to get raped in jail by a nigger.

Reason 2: Assuming that this idea has a market and eventually takes off, how can I profit from it without getting involved at all with the bad actors?

After all I must make the data somewhat easily available (no KYC) while also receiving enough economic incentive to operate the business and provide reliable data all the time.

So I need a legit business model.

>>11326482

I like this possible application but my business would only be involved in providing the data (someone has to do it).

Have some sort of wearable that is designed to keep track of biometric data and market it to the huma- consumer. Pretend AI is handling everything while you funnel off data to the black market where AI can handle everything.

if you want a legit business model, there are better ways to do it than a "Dead or Alive" idea. The most interesting and most valuable use cases for this are illegal. Also, I'm sure you could create something while staying anonymous and washing the money in a smart way

parts. Don’t want to steal your whitepaper, just want to make a believable world.

Focus on fraud; like collecting social security benefits or voting using the identity of whoever it is that is deceased. These assholes are using identities of dead people to commit fraud and if there was a database that notified insurance agencies or government administrations etc upon death....?
