I think Kevin is almost comically going to make us rich. Comically because of all the fud, the delays, the fact that most of us lost hope in this project at some point and conceded that we might just break even. Tbh they are going to have to raise money at some point either way if they want to expand their reach. They can either do it now via a flash sale if Kevin thinks that they will be able to attract money. He also spoke about private investor groups buying large amounts of tokens during the previous sales so i wouldn't put it past him to have some whales lined up to gobble up some more XCM.

Their second option is to secure a bank loan once they have established the exchange. As a crypto company I sincerely doubt that the options they would be presented with regard to the interest rate etc. would be favourable. It's a gamble either way and not one I would gladly be taking, as the success rests upon the good will of the mature contributor base.
