Is living in a van a meme or is it the smart thing?

I don't have much money left for rent, maybe 2 years of rent money left. I'm just wondering how cheap would it be to buy a used van and convert it to a living space so I can keep this NEET lifestyle indefinitely. I prefer being alone so I know I wouldn't mind a small space as long as I have a comfy bed, table with laptop and bathroom/shower.

Whatever structure you choose, I'd also look into getting a cheap parcel of land. The issue with vans, rvs, and such is that you must park it someplace. If I were doing that type of life, I'd get a piece of land to use as a home base.

And if you work remotely or better yet don't need to work at all, it'll be super cheap to buy if you look out of major cities and into rural communities

I think if I did what >>11313242 suggested and buy a small land it wouldn't be that bad. It's possible to have a small shower with a toilet in the van althrough space might be an issue. Granted I probably couldn't bring a girl in unless she was into the lifestyle but I'm an antisocial neet so that's not gonna happen either way.

I like the idea and think anyone who doesn't have kids should do it because you're a huge cuck if you don't have kids and are paying property tax even through rent, since property tax almost entirely funds local education. you're paying for other peoples' kids to go to school if you pay property tax. that's about the only reason I would consider it though, and while it is a big one, I also like being able to take a shit without having to find an open mcdonalds

Watch a bunch of YouTube videos before you pull the trigger. 2 main problems:
1. No heat/ac (this is the big one)
2. After insurance and van payment still looks like minimum 300/mo

I would buy a used van and insurance is fairly cheap in my country, vans have especially low insurance.

I move from city to city working short-term, high paying jobs. With the amount of money I save on ((rent)) and utlities, my NW is growing crazy fucking fast.
Downsides:
>no electricity. Solar is a meme and doesn't provide anywhre near enough power
>shit/shower/shaving all done in public restrooms. I use PureGym
>cold as fuck in winter. Unbearably hot in summer.
>people think you're crazy
>niggers and chavs occasionally try to break into your van. I've had this happen twice

Overall, I would recommend it. It won't be suitable for everybody. You have to lvie a very ascetic, minimalist lifestyle. Ignore the comfy pictures and the #vanlife instagram roasties. You have to be able to tolerate a very low level of personal comfort. The plus side is that allows you to travel, stay wherever you want, and save money quickly.

A gym membership can be had for 10 bucks a month, and if its not 24/7, they're usually open from like 5am-11pm on weekdays. A lot have retarded hours for weekends though, only open till 7pm sat and like 4pm sun

As for internet I think satelite would do just find and if you needed to download a movie, game or watch videos there's plenty of public wifis everywhere.
