The words Vansa used early this year were "very soon". She said the same about conglomerate announcements, back in January I think it was. I agree with the rest of what you said though.

Considering Cosmos were working with omisego, stands to reason they would know more than the rest of us know, as we only know what omisego themselves want us to know.

That last quote means cosmos developers have told her that plasma is years away from being deployed, and she is merely repeating that.

I don't expect plasma and staking until end of next year at the earliest. I would be happy enough for them to just get PoA sorted, market that in SE asia and start burning those tokens. If they wait until plasma is ready (if it ever will be), then there might be fuck all market share left after companies with similar aspirations such as Line corner the market in that region.

Funny thing is, Plasma is - probably rightly - being painted as a research project, but they seem to have no computer science research credentials on the team and just take some standard dev approach.

Ethereum at least had Dr. Gavin. It can all work out, but it can also fail to go anywhere or collapse due to some flaws they missed because nobody bothered to do any formal theory work. Though admittedly it's crypto and there are a lot of things that can't be modelled well.
