How do I keep records of my attendance at work?

I work some place where someone literally takes a physical register at 8:30 (everyone's start time) every morning. If you show up at 7:00 but you're in the bathroom when the register is taken, or you're getting water, or anything, you're marked down as late until you get back to your desk. This is despite everyone carrying ID cards and having to scan them to even get in the building.

Is simply taking a picture of the date and time on Windows every morning with my phone enough to defend myself from this kind of thing? Or simply sending myself an email on my work computer first thing? I have a work laptop so the latter might not work since they could say I sent it while out of the office, also I think you can schedule emails anyway so maybe they'd just say I did that.

Be at your fucking desk at 08:30. Pretty simple. If you need to go take a shit and you know you'll be late then email your boss before.

Viola.

Now back to work, wagie.

Get a GPS tracking app on your phone.

>> No.11231201

Livestream your being at work? Get the time and date from your computer.

Whoever tracks people showing up will probably not like it as it isn't their way of doing things, so you might just have to be at your desk?

Holy fuck you’re dumb. Are you 10?

email your boss every morning when you get it, tell him it's a record for disputing the register if needed, he'll either blow you off, say OK or make sure the register stops fucking up. hopefully not the 1st one.

I'm not fitting my fucking work around their retarded attendance system and I'm not sitting at my desk at some prespecified time like a 12 year old. I don't even have any reason what so ever to even be there, I work with no one there and there's no reason I can't work from home.

This is a lot of effort for something I shouldn't have to do. It also wouldn't solve the problem and can easily be faked.

Sounds like an easy way to piss him off.

yes, then we just measured how serious the problem is, not terribly serious. if it's a serious problem you'll do it.

Talk to your boss about it. If you're not a sperg, you can usually sway people about stupid shit like this.

This is another alternative. I tend to be 5-10 minutes late to work, but often stay an extra hour working.

Seems dumb to have an attendance system like that if everybody is productive.

I mentioned the Livestream as you can do one via YouTube (walking around, pointing the camera at different times, hold up today's newspaper) and then just share the link with the attendance person.

You've spent over 15 minutes on this thread. Pretty much all the solutions presented by anons will take less than 15 minutes each to setup.

If you have to do this shit, get a better job. There can be absolutely no reason to be there that’s worth being treated like that.
