I have no fucking clue how it took people 10,000 years to come up with a fucking letter stamping machine. They had signet rings too, so they had the concept of stamping letters into things. All you had to do was make a rack of signet rings with a hinge and put some paper under it. That took people 10k years to figure out. Amazing.
