If so, how long did it take for you to be profitable?
Also, do you have a trading bot?

Im thinking about delving into the TA and trading side for consistent profits. I've already made about 15-20% of my portfolio on MEX but decided to stop because I still have no idea wtf i'm doing.

Buy low and sell high.

Diversify and read the market.

Diversification doesnt really do shit in crypto though.

I just started and what I did was write down exactly how much I spent on my buy ins and add it when I buy more of that coin or whatever .. and then just make sure not to sell until it’s worth more than what I wrote down lol.. pretty simple this way I just have to focus on buying in With more of my easily and or guiltily earned fiat.. then once they get to be more than they were
Bought for keep watching and sell maybe 10% or whatever u think or none or all of it and hope it’ll work out.. I know there’s a way you can set automatic selling but if you check it everyday a couple times
It’s unnecessary

Put some money into shitcoins being hyped
Put some money into low market cap coins that no one has ever mentioned.

Overall I would be negative because when I first started; I was trading like a fucking clueless retard. But the past 2 months, I’ve learned to not neglect position sizing and risk management so I’m up like 75% since August 1st.

Nice. Did you read any books or anything or just went straight into MEX?

I just ordered "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets" that should be here monday that apparently is like the TA bible and should help me quite a lot.

When I stopped using TA, I
started making more money. Arbitrage and trading spreads Is the best.

To an extent.
What isn't pseudoscience though is support and resistance.

Risk management, positions sizing, learning where to place stop losses according to support and resistances, etc etc....

In a bear market if you trade clueless you're going to get rekt. There are people trading who actually make money and they are playing with your emotions and inexperience to win over your funds. Either hold or develop a strategy that is emotionless and covers every scenario. Then backtest it and see if it's profitable. Anything else and you will just lose money compared to plain old Hodl

I've pretty consistently made money over the last 5 years in the stock market. Making between 2k to 6k in USD per year. That's with an investment of between 30k to 100k+ at my peak. Not enough to live on but it made me feel good about myself.

Now, I've sunk all my capital into a down payment for a home, so I'm back to playing with 25k in the market, trying to earn 250 to 500 bucks per trade. Probably made 2000 bucks this year so far off trades and dividends

I doubled my money in 2017 and got most of it out before the crash because of advice given to me by my dad.

After that I've just been steadily buying whenever BTC dips to 6k because it always goes back up like clockwork.
