ask them, how you can prepare yourself for the job

>> No.11118143

Best thing you can do is flip the entire interview around on to them and make them feel like they are being interviewed, because that's what an interview should be. You're there so they can see if you're right for the job, but you're also there to see if the job is right for YOU.

Can you tell me one good thing and one bad thing about working for your company?

What challenges do you find with my role?

etc....

Done this on every interview i've ever been to and never not got the job.

They see it that you're not afraid to ask questions, you're interested in the job and you're not a nervous wreck who's just gonna answer their questions quick and leave asap.

But if you're being interviewed for something like mcdonalds then maybe dont do this....they probably just want someone who's obedient that doesn't ask questions like this.

Good luck wagie.

Thank you all, I only had interviews for internships so far and there was never this much pressure or maybe my good grades made up for eventual mess ups during the interview, but I'm going to apply for fulltime jobs soon and am thankful for every input I get.

>interviews for internships
That's what I'm doing at the moment, but of the 1 interviews I've been invited to so far they asked if I've done projects previously or worked with certain software like R that was not stated in the job description, and similar questions that you'd ask someone who's already had a job in the past but of course I couldn't answer those (interview didn't even last 15 minutes so that was an obvious fail). Going to try finding every opening I can get to barrage them with questions of my own in the next interview.

Nobody implied that, bitch; you are literally being filtered with 8 other scrubs that applied for this job and we're picking the least shitty one to fill this role. We'll call you (not).
