>Silver

-Constitutional
-Literally the best conductor on Earth
-Government backed
-Undervalued

>everything else

-Not Constitutional
-The worst conductor on Earth
-Not Government backed
-Biggest bubble in history

Seems like a logical choice OP

Silver has a 20% VAT in the UK. Literally have to wait for it to go up 20% to break even. Is it still worth it?

the best conductor of both electricity and heat is copper

Yeah... only gold is untaxed.

That's what I figured. Although I can imagine silver going up more than 20% in the event of a financial crisis.

20% vat when you buy
20% capital gains tax when you sell
Buying at 8 (meaning 10 with loicense), you need circa price 30% gain to break even after taxrape.

I thought capital gains tax doesn't apply to long term investments? And if it does, I thought it's variable based on income, not a flat 20%?

Stocks, bonds, real estate will soon have their due with blood running on the streets. Metals will go up in crisis as always and crypto is anyone's guess. Since it has already experienced a huge drop it's worth investing in, but it may drop significantly more as normies cash out to sustain their norman lives when in recession. The other view is that it may go up as a way of hedging against falling prices.

Probably the best course of action is to hold fiat until shit hits the fan and then go all in in crypto

A major recession would completely fuck crypto over even more than it is now. When people are losing their jobs and worried about making ends meet are they gonna put their money in an extremely volatile asset that has no real world use when they just saw stocks and housing tank by 50%?
