How does Leverage on Bitmex work?

I'm using the calculator, if I change the leverage, I still lose the same amount of money at a stop loss...... x5, x20... just needs more margin, same loss... Pls explain.

what fucking calculator are you even talking about? just use the default settings, cross leverage. use limit orders and don't go over 10x, stay around 5x ideally. you don't have to change settings though, just use cross leverage

Well I kind of understand and made mony , but I want to start using stop loss and risk management........ right now I use low leverage and hope it dont reach liqudiation.
