Ive noticed the vast majority of the population never comes up with invention ideas. Like never even once in their entire life.

I dont expect everybody to be the next ben franklin, but jesus christ not a single idea ever? How is that possible? Do you just never think? Its like they cant come up with new things on their own, they can only copy things they have seen in the past. Like a parrot or something. You say "polly want a cracker" and the parrot repeats you. You hand the parrot a cracker. Over time the parrot realizes that saying that phrase results in being given crackers, but the parrot doesnt really speak english. It doesnt know what it is saying. Its simply learned that it is the correct response to the problem of being hungry.

I think this also be why npcs place so much importance on education. Education is the only possible way they can learn new things, because they are physically incapable of coming up with ideas on their own. If they arent shown how to do it then it becomes utterly impossible for them.
