What kind of business could I start as a 25 year old with no original ideas?

I have access to an okay amount, but would most likely need to take out a business loan for any real venture.

Something with a low barrier to entry but high learning curve wouldn’t be bad.

Pressure washing driveways and garages and houses. A high enough startup cost to make the barrier to entry somewhat difficult for any random pajeet to enter, but low enough and low skilled enough to begin immediately.

Pressure washing and house painting business. If you live in flyover, try and target housing companies that are desperate to polish up houses. If you live by the coast, specialize in pool areas and mold removal.

What these anons said. Starting a blue collar power washing/landscaping/office cleaning/car detailing type business isn't too hard and doesn't require a lot of cash. Put up signs at Lowes and shit to find employees

I looked into it. You will have to pay for insurance, supplies, equipment, licensing... It can add up. Plus you'd have to advertise and go up against a lot of competition.

But if you’re not a brainlet, you should in theory easily be able to outmaneuver your average José, or good ol’ boy Bill in the market.

The biggest expense would probably be a truck/van if you can't make your current car work. To start I would

>Talk to an adviser
>Register an LLC
>Get licensed
>Buy a $200 pressure washer
>Get a work phone and email
>Buy insurance
>Put out adds
>Start working out of your current car.
>Deduct all expenses (including depreciation) on your taxes
>if someone wants you to paint then charge for supplies
>eventually buy a van/truck
>Put an ad on the side of your vehicle

Starting a business is a lot easier if you already have money or a job, because you can just deduct your losses from your taxes. Be careful making the jump from full-time employment to full-time self-employed. You should have some money saved up to cover the bills if you don't earn enough in the beginning.
