Mushrooms are more of a mind expansion. You think a lot and your senses are more keen. Music sounds better, you see things more clearly, it feels good to stimulate your senses basically.

LSD skips the mind expansion and just makes everything you think about seem like a life changing revelation. You can't really say what an LSD trip is like either, it varies heavily, so the best you can do is talk about common elements.
My favorite is your senses start to overlap, or if you take enough, all become one.
An example of this is I was talking to my friend via text chat on skype and the world around me FELT like a carpet. The text on the IM window started to float above that carpet feeling which was covering the window the text was on before.
Now I say carpet feeling because I couldn't actually see a carpet, but I could feel in my vision that it was there. That's honestly the best way you can describe it.
There are plenty of other examples as well, but I don't want to write a novel on everything I've experienced on LSD in a dogecoin thread.
