The MtGox civil rehabilitation proceedings are under way.
Remember to fill in the forms for a claim if you can.

https://www.mtgox.com/

Expect a great dump at the end of 2019 or early 2020.

I had a coworker who lost over 1 btc there and he said it was ok since it was only a few bucks. This was back in 2013.

It's thanks to Karpeles we now get a chance to get back any amount of bitcoin. The trustee wanted to keep selling it but Karpeles managed to move everything into a civil rehabilitation proceeding.

If I can get back just 10% of what I had on MtGox I'd be very pleased, especially since I'd get Bitcoin Cash as well.

Once i get my coins back i'm set for life. Can't wait to cash out and finally be done with crypto.

>> No.10966522

Stupid faggots who lost money at mtgox should only receive the amount relative to the price at the time mtgox went insolvent

debate me

I want a quote of that.
And if it's true that even worse since the trustee was selling at $20k a bitcoin.

i first learned of his intentions here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/89o16y/im_mark_karpel%C3%A8s_exceo_of_bankrupt_mtgox_ask_me/

here's a little more:
https://news.bitcoin.com/i-dont-want-it-says-mt-gox-ceo-mark-karpeles-in-surprise-ask-me-anything/

(i don't really know if that verified my claim, i don't exactly have proof on-hand so those links were the best i remember)

i also read in some reddit thread, that i dont have the url to, that they calculated that you should probably get back 17% of your claim. though i dont expect anything and will be happy for above 0

Karpeles is the cause of all this in the first place.
There are tremendous amount of evidence that he was running a trade bot at mt gox to cover his fractional ass.
Remember that he has been indicted by a Japanese prosecutors for fraud.
Convictions rate is 99% in Japan. When prosecutors indict someone it's because they know he did the crime.

Even if you tried to clean it, there'd be too much burnt shit literally embedded in it. There's no way to get that shit off.

>> No.10966824

Kek no, the convict everyone to keep their records looking perfect. In Japan you are guilty until you and half the world proves your innocence because they consider it a humiliating shame to let people go free after getting inarguably evidence of innocence. Some jap prosecutor was found to destroy evidence just to avoid a single failed conviction.

Yeah but doesn't change the fact tho that if I get anything back now it's probably thanks to him. I had told myself that those BTC I lost were gone forever.

I guess one way of seeing things is that if I had those BTC I probably would have sold them already for less than what I will get for them in 2019/2020. Probably would have sold them before they forked into BCH too.

Unless crypto crashes now and/or if I don't get anything back. I don't see this civil rehabilitation proceeding as a guarantee.

Ok, you got me. I'm not an expert in baking! I just saved that image because it looked like a neat trick. I don't even like ice cream and cookie dough.

That's just not true.
Maybe you were not following closely enough the bankruptcy proceedings. It was always an option to pay back everybody in BTC. Media wrote a lot of inaccurate things about this.
I guarantee you that Karpeles has no role in that. It makes no sense for the trustee to listen to someone accused of fraud.

You're right that I were not following closely. Thanks to MtGox going down I basically quit crypto in 2014 and just woke up in 2017 when suddenly everybody were talking about the price going up to 20k. So maybe you're right about Karpeles too.
