Do you know of any efforts they did to outsource the "marketing" early on?
We know they couldn't have used regular marketing strategies but that the team really needed the distribution of link to be more decentralized than xrp for example, so me and some anons were wondering if the reason why this token became such a success in biz was mainly because there were efforts early on to create a link following. I'm refering mainly on the supposed larping and even other infamous/notable examples.

If you don't understand the question that's ok, but maybe some other anons can chime in...

>> No.10962293

Nobody throws around price predictions like that that ive heard, but they have lovingly adopted the term "singularity" from you guys. They seem to think thats what will happen. Mainnet will launch, and the company goes from being a boring blockchain startup no one has heard of to the biggest most, i dont know, connected?(real companies involved), thing in the blockchain space. They fully anticipate to be in the top 3. Ive heard it said many times that it will be bitcoin, the currency, ethereum, the smart contracts, and link, the Oracle network. I had never heard of an oracle before a year or so ago. But as we all know now, its the missing piece to making crypto and smart contracts work, and the decentralized aspect is key.

Interesting. Mirrors the typical way a startup would distribute equity among early employees, except for how the "stock purchase" is delayed until mainnet. Assuming you're not larping, that would corroborate what you said earlier about the lack of pre-mainnet marketing being due to avoiding link being deemed a security. Distribution of link in lieu of wages to help fund the company would probably be interpreted by the SEC as fitting one of the definitions of a security. True or not, that definitely adds credibility

Meh. Anything really. Tho it feels like were nearing a good ending point to the thread. I dont like the hostility lol.

But come on people. Theres a reason this has been talked about nonstop for a year here. Theres a reason the ico sold out in 5 mins. Theres a reason the team has been completely silent but still one of the busiest projects on github. Theres a reason. Theres a reason it fares really well in spite of what bitcoin is doing. Im not here to piss anyone off, or to make anyone buy in. Im really just here because i hold, i know this community does too, and im just telling you, were almost there. If you were to sell right now and drop the price 10 cents, ive no more spare money to buy in anyways. If you buy in and drive it up 10 cents, i know a hell of a lot better than to sell.
