We know they couldn't have used regular marketing strategies but that the team really needed the distribution of link to be more decentralized than xrp for example, so me and some anons were wondering if the reason why this token became such a success in biz was mainly because there were efforts early on to create a link following. Interesting. Mirrors the typical way a startup would distribute equity among early employees, except for how the "stock purchase" is delayed until mainnet.
