Is this bad? No one is sure about the economics of blockchains 50 years from now. Bitcoin will be tapped out and miners will just rely on fees. Monero will have like 1 pct inflation and fees for miners. Honestly seems really neglible to me. How long do you plan on living anyway?

>> No.10950804

>>10950755
With people losing keys and corrupted hard drives, even with the emission it will remain fairly constant even in 100 years.

>> No.10950813

>>10950648
Dero is also said to have a tail emission, but yeah people who shit on XMR are Dero shills and should be shot on sight.

>> No.10950859

>>10950755
checked.

digits confirm, a tail emission will be a lifeline for miners to stay in the game, while bitcoin miners will be shutting down since fees won't be enough of an incentive to stay active when everything's done over lightning in 50 years.

And fiat inflates exponentially compared to the ever decreasing linear inflation of monero.

>> No.10950944

>>10950859
I think it's all roughly the same in the end. XMR's inflation will be well below 1 pct which is almost not worth even thinking about. It will come down to whether miners want to keep mining even if it's not strictly profitable from the fees they collect. It'll be more about being invested in the blockchain so heavily that they can't stop mining. It's like 50 years from now so who cares anyway.

The up side is the inflation gives people a reason to spend. That is a downside of deflationary currency. If the inflation rate stays lower than fiats, then it will appreciate against fiat.
