I know this space is usually reserved for cryptocurrenices but I have an alternative for people still interested in assets that are actually worth money.

Brazilian stocks. The real, All depressed since they recently emerged from recession. Trump tariffs on steel, and 'uncertainity' on election day, in two months. Commodity prices are still low, Brazil announced harsh austerity measures, written into their constitution, evem.

There are no presidential candidates likely to win besides Bolsonaro and Alckman. All pro-business, the runner-ups are all neutral, but Brazil is going to go through a secular economic recovery anyways. Commodities have bottomed,

Brazilian stocks you buy off the exchanges in the USA are really just guarantees on Brazilian stock. ADRs, or securities purchased in USD for a entity that holds stock in those companies. They fluctuate with the exchange rate, now a Real costs 0.23 USD. Normally trades around 0.35. Easy money.

If Bolsonaro wins, expect a huge 50-200% increase in BR stocks.

Never say you never knew of the opportunity in 2 years.

Yeah, exactly! That's when you know to invest. Brazilian economy is a tremendous thing, bigger than Russia's. Millions of people buying and selling.

Yeah, but discard that, make a bet those virtual tokens in an Internet blockchain ledger system market is much more secure than the 7th largest economy in the world.

I will top-keks at you in 4-5 years.

Real is such shit right now, its ready for a upward correction and guess what you buy with a lot of USD? A lot of ownership in BR stocks, BR resources, which will rebound off the historical lows they are at now.

I hope the BR monies get even shittier, I'll buy more, I'm prepared to go balls-deep in . This is an investment of a lifetime, especially if Bolsonaro wiins. Buy low sell, high, idiots. Read the writing on the wall.

History has show us that the only time it is worth investing in Central or South America is when extreme right wing fascists are in control.

Let us know when Brazil has their own Pinochet or Videla. When commies are being helicopter air dropped at sea, I'll will be the first person buying stocks.

Guy, there is only a tiny, closely monitored and hated Islamic minority in Brazil. There is no terrorism and likely will never be. Nobody hates Arabs more than Brazilians, they only need to have turned on a TV or read a newspaper in the last 20 year.

I'm going balls deep in Brazil. Either I laugh at you for missing out or I laugh at myself for playing capital allocation outside of (((their))) control or game. Or I misjuge the depths of the commodity price depression.

Either way, lulz are had, so it's an investment in that.

take it from a man old enough to be your dad: smart money of my generation is unloading their bags to your generation as we exit towards crypto
now go on and rationalize this as a larp. because seeing as you're larping, so is everyone else, right?

You're talking about yourself with all that projection. I'm looking for opportunity in a bubbly, expensive market. Opportunities are hard to find. Brazil's imploded economy, depreciated currency but global relevance and this hilarious meme election in the near term is a better opportunity than most. Exploiting ignorant investor sentiment.

What should I do with my money, then? Crypto? FAANG shit? Biotech?

Also what the fuck is a larp?

If Lula or some proxy of his wins, then buy as many puts and short positions as you can because it means Brazil abandoned the concept of 'rule of law' and nobody will invest there for a very long time.

There are better opportunities than Brazil at the moment. If you really want a play on Brazil google "Brazil efts" and pick one that fits your risk profile.

The opportunities of the next five years are medical robotics (ISRG, MZOR, etc...) and ML silicon & algorithms (NVDA, TXN, AD)

AmBev and Embraer.... but it doesn't matter if you're not Brazilian. Buy a Brazilian ETF, since foreign investors purchase ADR backed securities on the NYSE or whatever. This means as the dollar or euro get stronger, these securities become cheaper from our standards. The 'stock' performance thus correlates with the exchange rate. The BRL is oversold.

Also individual companies in Brazil are still stuck with legacy government ownership. The Brazilian government has 'golden share' in many of them, meaning policy decisions can make or break the value of an individual stock. Best route is to go with an ETF.

If you got balls, go with Embraer for the Boeing merger play. Gov't has a golden share in them, so they could kill the deal, it's why the stock price is so low.... but if they don't kill it, you'll make a shitton of money.

Idk about commodities, all are closely correlated with oil prices/ USD. Maybe long steel/iron because the tariff threats that are overblown, but don't. Commodites trading is expert-mode stuff you have to specialize in to not lose your shirt in. Just know that EM like Brazil's economies are tied into the prices of commodities. It lags a bit, though. When iron, beef, coffee, sugar prices are up, Brazilians make a lot of money.
