Here's my story of fuckups:

>2009/10
>build SLI computer and proceed to hash folding@home ~6mo for load testing
>read about "mining" but don't research it
>2011
>become libertarian and learn about Tor
>search "best tor sites"
>visit original Silk Road
>decide to buy a Q of high quality bud
>want to pay with a gift card, realize that sellers only accept Bitcoin.
>only ~26.98798776 BTC
>research Bitcoin and amazed by implications
>try to make an account on Mt. Gox
>struggle to get through the verifications
>give up on the whole ordeal
>hear about BTC again in 2013 as roommate shows me chart where it skyrocketed from ~$200-$600 in only a day
>buy a handful finally
>moons to $1000+
>HODL all the way down to ~$100
>sell a handful at the bottom to buy some overpriced textbooks when I was short on cash

I feel like a supreme brainlet even if I'm well ahead now. I'm sure I would have gotten Gox'd regardless, or at least that's at least what I tell myself.
