hello Everyone at /biz/ i want to learn about crypto investment. i want to learn how to determine if a coin is a good investment. what are the fundamentals that i should look for in a coin to see if a coin is good or bad? what is the best place to trade? are faucets reliable or a waste of time? if cypto is supperior than tradtional investment why does every thread seem like everyone is on the brink of suicide ? any help would be welcome. i want to learn.

Coins are not investments, but if you want to speculate, I suggest a team of 15+ pajeets and solid marketing skills.

Just try it a bit. The trick is to buy high and sell low.

If you're lucky the first few times, go all in with all your money so you can have maximum fun.

I consider this is a good way to think about these things.
https://medium.com/@alexander.liegl/a-deductive-valuation-framework-for-cryptocurrencies-a6bfa085a8b6

Basically, start reasoning why they could CAPTURE value instead of creating it. And consider the downside all the time, don't get attached to your shit. Once you have some defined axioms (preferably yours), you can start with the guesswork about the future.
> Only speculators have a meaningful impact on token price.
> altcoins need to minimize their overlap with Bitcoin’s value-proposition in order to maximize their chances of value-accretion and, put bluntly, survival

If what you're looking for is more about how to manage risk, hedge and shit like that, there's a lot of content out there and crypto isn't that special if you really understand what kind of assets these are. The more you try to understand about markets and how they work, the better served you are IMO.

What you wanna do is go check out a perspective coins website. If it seems like a cool idea go read the white paper. Since you're probably somewhere around average intelligence (±15 points) with no technical knowledge of what goes into making a crypto, make sure to only buy if it's filled with jargon and mathematical proofs that go way over your head. If you can understand what the white paper says it means the devs either have no idea what they're doing or they're pandering to normies to pump & dump. That's fine if you wanna try to make a quick buck and get in early, but it's a horrible long term hold.

Since this is a question thread, what exchanges do you all use to buy your coins?
