there will be no mainnet without the reputation and aggregation. I'm getting impatient too but it's all wishful thinking. Last year I myself thought that the mainnet would come out in September this year, many people thought the same it sounded like a reasonable estimate back then especially when many people thought that the team has most of the code done in Ruby and just needs to rewrite it to Golang but it turned out they pretty much started from scratch.
If they get it done by the end of this year I would be really surprised

>> No.10843269

what the fuck kind of descriptions are those?

This network is supposed to be used by banks conducting trillions of dollars worth of monetary transactions? Shit reads like a 12 year old wrote it. What a fucking joke

I may be delusional, but I'm still hoping that the reputation is being done on a private repo.

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

DO NOT UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT! ESPECIALLY COLLECTIVE POSITIVE THOUGHT!!

THIS SHIT IS GOING TO REACH $1,000 EASILY! HOLD THAT THOUGHT AND VISUALIZE IT IN YOUR MIND EVERYDAY AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE STARTING NOW AND IT WILL MANIFEST INTO REALITY. DO IT! I'M NOT JOKING!

VISUALIZE AS OFTEN AND AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE!

I'm not saying it's impossible. I said it before that it would even make sense to develop it privately and test with big customers while leaving us (potential node operators) the node code to test, but then again if something seems too good to be true in life it usually is

They did 13 of them. If they continue with that pace every task including those in icebox, will be don3 by end of november. Don't know about you, but that sounds pretty bullish.

>> No.10843316

It's terrible because I know it's basically a sure bet and I should just forget about it for 5 years, forget about it for now, do other things and let it sit quietly, but I literally cannot think about anything else but chainlink ever since I started become a member of the cult. All day long I just do research and read discussions about it, I do nothing else anymore. I can't even watch a movie anymore because my chainlink adhd forces me to f5 biz and blockfolio every 5 minutes. I stopped going to the gym, I stopped caring about girls. I don't play video games anymore. How the fuck do you concentrate on other things? It has completely overtaken my mind.

How will you cope with the potential reality that all of it was way overhyped, none of the large partnerships are real (or just don’t translate to a Link token being worth a lot of money), and Link either fails or succeeds and is only worth $1 or so...?

That’s my biggest fear.

Iktf, I’m suffering from it as well. You have to remember that you’ll make it no matter what and even if you miss a riddle/insider dropping info here or a partnership, you can catch up on what you missed in a few minutes rather than spending hours here. I’m fighting it too

reputation is not a problem in terms of coding but what requesters think is important to evaluate the provider. its much more of a conceptualization thing than coding it, which should be fairly simple.

please be honest with me is AGP a legitimate thing? do people really transition due to their AGP feelings? as someone who would be considered HSTS (or whatever the other one is) i've always legitimately associated my trans ness with i was meant to be a woman but i was born in the wrong body. i never had anything sexually related to transitioning and overall have a pretty low sex drive. i now consider myself a female but i still have intense body and face dysphoria. i never wrapped my head around people transitioning for sexual reasons and was never exposed to it before the online trannies explained it. i guess im kind of baffled that people actually do that but im trying to understand peoples reasons for it. not trolling just seriously confused

Everyone is thinking that it will launch in September, but thats so fucking optimistic. unless the team have outsourced a shit load of work in secret. the reputation system literally is what makes link the 1000$ meme. i f they are just starting it then then it confirms we have a while to go, and we know they wont launch a half baked product because they have no reason to. Next year, or if they really get their act together November-December is feasible.

Also, when you look on the github and see their commits its impressive, but looking at exactly what hthey are trying to do with the reputation system and its a bit obvious that there is a lot fo work to be done, and anyone with ANY knowledge of C+and Linux custom script integrated GNU compilers knows it's a minimum 2-3 year AT BEST with a single coder, maybe less with more.

Link devs took the hard route of going for a SE Linux hardened kernel integration into their scripting tool - PRO TIP, since they are using it as part of the foundation for main-net, it is essential it is 100% complete, and with investors like Swift its not going to be fucking risked launching early.

Even Linus Torvalds (creator of Linux) took 2 years to compile a similar scripting tool.
