The IRS doesn't enforce laws, they just collect taxes.
The SEC doesn't have a single fuck to give about some spastic on /biz trading his lunch money on Bitmex - and have less fucks to give if you come whining to them if Bitmex steals your money.

It's not illegal to trade on Bitmex as a US customer. There isn't a single law on the books forbidding it. The issue is, if an exchange like Bitmex, or a Forex exchange wants to legally service US customers, they have to comply with CTFC laws and regulations, or be sued. So they just deny US customers on paper, and turn a blind eye to Murricans registering via VPNs, because Bitmex is a long con. The only actions I've seen them take is their worthless moderators will ban retards in the Trollchat who openly admit to being American.

If you trade on Bitmex, just keep in mind, you have NO legal stance against them, for anything they do. They could close the exchange tomorrow, run with the money, and there isn't shit you can do. There's a reason they're based in the country they're in, because they'd be arrested and locked up trying to operate in the first world. If they do a "maintenance" and clear you out in a liquidation, you have no legal recourse. They're literally a back alley craps game.

If you aren't american why do you even care? It doesn't involve you or have any affect on you Why don't you worry about your own shit?
